How to Install a TS Performance Chip

Park your truck and switch off the engine. Remove the key from the ignition.

Raise the hood and disconnect the negative battery terminal from each of the two batteries using a ratchet. One battery is located on the left front side of the vehicle and one on the right front side of the vehicle.

Look beneath the driver side dash and locate the emergency brake bracket at the top of the emergency brake pedal. Remove the three bolts securing the bracket in place using a ratchet. Remove the bracket.

Locate the wiring harness in the engine compartment that connects the PCM to the vehicle ECU. The wiring harness is on the driver’s side, near the front fender.BMW ICOM A3 Pro Lift the clip on the wiring harness and disconnect it.

Remove the two bolts securing the computer chip metal casing behind the emergency brake pedal, using a ratchet. The computer chip casing is a metal case approximately three inches by three inches.

Remove the third and fourth bolt securing the top and bottom of the computer chip casing below the dash, if your vehicle has a manual transmission. Skip this step if your vehicle is automatic; it does not have these extra bolts.

Remove the computer chip metal casing from the vehicle.

Peel back the tape holding the old computer chip in the metal casing and slide the old chip out of the casing.Digiprog III Note that the chip connects to an electrical harness within the casing. Unplug the electrical connector once you remove the chip and set the old chip aside.

Connect the TS performance chip to the electrical harness and slide the chip into the metal casing.

Cover the opening on the metal casing with duct tape to protect the computer chip.

Reinstall the computer chip casing and emergency brake bracket using the bolts you removed. Tighten until secure.

Reconnect the ECU electrical connector on the driver’s side, under the hood. Reconnect the negative battery terminals and start the truck.
