Maplestory Mesos has a lot of events

Maplestory Mesos has a lot of events in which you do some replicated task for “a chance to have” something great. We had it in the past with the Dark Lords of Doom, also at a somewhat different way with all the Madhouse occasion (not a random reward however arbitrary characteristics in the maze).

It’s very frustrating to do these events diligently every single day, and end up with nothing rewarding. We Maplers are used to grinding for all, but grinding for nothing is simple torture. My proposal is that these events need to be made in such a way that if you do them to the best of your skill, you are ensured a fantastic reward.

There are several ways to do so: Just give out the reward after several unsuccessful tries. For example, Cassandra should give you the 4MS2 chair (instead of a candy) when you’ve tried long enough. For another example, for the Hunter’s Club, when you complete your 150th race, Shimo should inform you, “Wow, you’re really good at this! For that, I will allow you to select among my paintings,” and allow you to decide on a single item.

Give some type of token for each completed task, and let purchasing any of the rewards (in a unique shop) if you have gathered enough tokens. This can be refined into committing not just one token, however some of them, depending on how imply RNG was to you. As an example, for your Hunter’s Club, each Rabbit thing comes with 4 “disappointment coins”, Dogs come with two, Hogs with 1, and anything better than that provides no coins in any way. Increase the odds of finding the reward with every unsuccessful try, until you’re certain to find the decent rewards on the last day in case you did the event daily and have not gotten them yet.
